  1. Open your PS3.
  2. Under the Blu Ray drive a flex ribbon cable that is connected to your Blu Ray drive and Mainboard.
  3. Disconnect it from both sides.
  4. Look for an eraser, clean the gold pin.
  5. Reconnect it.
  6. Turn on your PS3 and do an update.
  7. If the update fails, tape both sides with an electrical tape.
