How to fix 0x8002801c error?

0x8002801c is an error code that indicates that a COM component is not registered correctly. This can happen for a number of reasons, including incorrect registration information or files that are missing from the COM component. In most cases, re-registering the COM component will fix the problem.

1. Restart your computer and try again

  1. Boot your computer into Safe Mode with Networking.
  2. In the Start menu, click All Programs and then Windows Update.

  6. Boot your computer into Normal Mode.

  6. Close the Security Settings dialog box and then click on the OK button to close the Properties dialog box.
  7. Double-click on the program executable to run it.
  8. If the program crashes or does not run, try running it as an administrator by right-clicking on the program executable and selecting Run as Administrator.
