How do you fix a Carrier e1 error code?

When an E1 carrier is established between two sites, each site must have an E1 interface card installed in order to terminate the E1 link. If one of the E1 interface cards is not properly configured, the E1 carrier will not be able to bring up the link and an E1 carrier error code will be generated. The E1 carrier error code indicates that the E1 interface card at one of the sites is not properly configured. In order to fix this error, the E1 interface card must be properly configured.

1. Check the E1 cable for any physical damage

  1. Check the E1 cable for any physical damage. If there is any damage, replace the cable.
  2. If the cable does not have any physical damage, check the E1 cable for any electrical damage. If there is any electrical damage, replace the E1 cable.

2. If the E1 cable is damaged, replace it with a new one

If the E1 cable is damaged, replace it with a new one in order to fix carrier e1 error code.

3. Check the E1 port for any loose connections

There are a few things you can check on the E1 port to determine if there are any loose connections.

  1. Look for any physical damage to the E1 port. This can indicate that there is an issue with the connection.

4. If the E1 port is loose, tighten the connections

5. Check the E1 card for any physical damage

  1. Remove the card from the device.
  2. Inspect the card for any physical damage.
  3. If the card has any physical damage, fix the damage.
  4. Re-insert the card into the device.
  5. Check the E1 card for any physical damage.
  6. If the card has any physical damage, fix the damage.

If the answers above didn't work then you should also try:
