How do you fix error code 30088 26?

An error code 30088 26 happens when a user tries to access a file that is corrupt or not compatible with their system. This can happen if the file was not downloaded correctly, if it is not the correct file format, or if the file is damaged.

1. Restart your computer and then try again

Restart your computer. Open the Start menu and click on "Restart." On the menu that appears, click on "Restart your computer." When your computer restarts, hold down the "Shift" key and click on the "Restart" button. Please wait while your computer restarts. Once your computer has restarted, please try again to fix error code 30088 26.

2. Run the Office 365 Repair tool

  1. Open the Office 365 Repair tool.
  2. Click the Repair button.
  3. In the Select an issue to repair window, select the error code 30088 26.
  4. Click Next.
  5. In the Select a fix window, select the fix that best meets your needs.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Review the fix information and click Finish.

3. Reinstall Office 365

  1. Go to the Admin Portal.
  2. Select Recover Office 365.
  3. Select your subscription.
  4. Select Recover Files and Settings.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Select the type of installation you want to perform.
  7. Select Next.
  8. Select the destination folder for your recovered files.
  9. Select Next.
  10. Select the languages you want to install.
  11. Select Next.
  12. Select the users you want to recover files for.
  13. Select Next.
  14. Review your selections and click Recover.
  15. Office 365 will start to recover your files.
  16. When the process is complete, Office 365 will show you a summary of the recovery and will allow you to remove the installation media.

4. Disable any third-party antivirus software and then try again

  1. On your computer, open the Control Panel.
  2. On the Control Panel, double-click System and Security.
  3. On the System and Security page, under Security Options, click the Antivirus tab.
  4. On the Antivirus tab, click the Turn Off Antivirus Protection button.
  5. If the Error code 30088 26 pops up again, repeat steps 4 and 5 until the error code goes away.
