How to fix Error Loading DLL CryNetwork.dll Error Code 126?

The error code 126 is a Windows error code that indicates a problem with a software or driver being incompatible with the system. This can happen if the software or driver is not compatible with the operating system, if it is not up to date, or if it is not properly configured. This error code can also occur if the system is not able to find the file or driver.

1. Check if the file path of the DLL is correct

  1. Open up the Windows command prompt by pressing the Windows key + X and then entering cmd.
  2. At the command prompt, type the following command to check the file path of the DLL: path DLL If the file path of the DLL is correct, the command will return the following result: C:\Windows\system32\crynetwork.dll If the file path of the DLL is not correct, the command will return the following result: C:\Windows\system32\crynetwork.dll (wrong file path)

2. Check if the DLL is compatible with the operating system and the processor type

  1. Open the Windows "Start" menu and select "Run"
  2. Type "cmd" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter
  3. At the command prompt, type "regsvr32" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter
  4. Type "crynetwork.dll" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter
  5. If the DLL is not found, you will receive a message stating "The DLL CryNetwork.dll was not found. Make sure that it is located in the same folder as the application that you are trying to load it from and that the application is activated."
  6. If the DLL is found, you will receive a message stating "The DLL CryNetwork.dll is compatible with your operating system and processor type."

3. Check if the DLL is present in the system32 directory

  1. Open the "cmd.exe" application on your computer.
  2. Type "dir" and press Enter.
  3. Type "system32" and press Enter.
  4. If the crynetwork.dll application is not found in the "system32" directory, the error code 126 will be displayed.
  5. To fix the error, you'll need to copy the crynetwork.dll application to the "system32" directory.
