This error code is usually caused by a problem with the game's installation files. There may be a problem with the game's registry entries, or the game files may be corrupt.
1. Restart your computer
- If your computer is currently running, close all open programs.
- Click Start, and then click Shut Down.
- Click Restart.
- Click OK.
- After your computer restarts, press F8 to open the Advanced Boot Options menu.
- Click Safe Mode with Networking.
- If you are using a Windows 8 or 10 computer, click Troubleshoot.
- Click Advanced Options.
- Click Startup Settings.
- Click Restart.
- After your computer restarts, press F8 to open the Advanced Boot Options menu.
- Click Safe Mode with Command Prompt.
- If you are using a Windows 8 or 10 computer, click Troubleshoot.
- Click Advanced Options.
- Click Startup Settings.
- Click Safe Mode with Command Prompt.
- At the command prompt, type cd c:\windows and press Enter.
- At the command prompt, type rstrui.exe and press Enter.
- Type list system and press Enter.
- You should see a line that says "Windows was unable to start the system due to an error. (Code: 1152)."
- Type rstrui.exe fixboot and press Enter.
- Type list system again, and this time you should see a line that says "Windows was able to start the system."
- Type exit and press Enter.
- Restart your computer.
2. Update your graphics drivers
- Go to the AMD website and download the latest drivers for your graphics card.
- Locate the folder where you installed your graphics card driver and open it.
- Double-click on the graphics driver file.
- Click on the "Update Driver" button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Restart your computer if required.
3. Verify your game files
- Verify game files by comparing the files on your computer with the files that are provided by the game publisher.
- If the files are not matching, then you will need to replace the game files with the original files from the game publisher.
- If the files are still not matching, then you will need to troubleshoot the game file.
4. Delete your launcher cache
- Open the launcher and click on the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Under General, select Delete Launcher Cache.
- Confirm the deletion.
5. Reinstall the game
- Open the "Steam" app on your computer
