How to fix Origin error code 9:5?

The origin error code 9:5 is a error code that appears when trying to connect to a server. This error code occurs when the client is unable to connect to the server due to a firewall or router issue.

1. Check your internet connection and try again

  1. Go to Network and Internet and click on "Check your internet connection."
  2. If the internet is not working, you will see a message that says "Your internet connection is not working."
  3. Click on "Try again."
  4. If the problem still persists, you may need to contact your ISP or visit a customer service center.

2. Check if your Origin client is up to date

  1. Navigate to the Origin client home page and click on the "Update" button.
  2. Origin will automatically check for updates and notify you if there are any available.
  3. If there are any available updates, Origin will prompt you to install them.
  4. After the updates are installed, Origin will restart and you will be ready to continue using the Origin client.

3. Restart your Origin client

To restart your Origin client:

  1. Open Origin.
  2. In the top left corner of the window, click the "Origin" logo.
  3. In the "Origin" window, click the "Preferences" button.
  4. In the "Origin" window, click the "Restart" button.
  5. Origin will restart and correct the origin error code.

4. Delete the Origin cache files

  1. Under the Origin menu, select "Settings."
  2. Under the "General" tab, select the "Cache" option.
  3. Under the "Cache" tab, select the "Origin" option.
  4. Under the "Origin" option, select the "Delete Cache Files" button.
  5. Select the "Yes, delete all Origin cache files" button.
  6. Click the "OK" button to confirm the deletion.

5. Reinstall Origin

  1. Open Origin and sign in.
  2. Click on "Origin" in the top left corner.
  3. Select "Origin Install" from the menu on the left.
  4. Select your operating system from the drop-down box.
  5. Click on "Origin Install" to begin the installation process.
  6. Origin will ask you to select your language and region. Select the language and region that best matches your computer.
  7. Origin will then ask you to provide your login information.
  8. Origin will then ask you to provide your installation media. If you have not installed Origin before, Origin will ask you to install the Origin client.
  9. After Origin has installed the necessary files, it will ask you to restart your computer.
  10. After your computer has restarted, Origin will be ready to use.
