How do you fix a Pit boss error code?

The pit boss err code is a code that indicates an error with the pit boss feature of a pellet grill. This error code can happen for several reasons, such as the grill not being properly plugged in, the grill not being turned on, or the grill being turned off.

1. Clean or replace the sensors

  1. Open the hood and locate the sensor cluster
  2. Remove the four screws that hold the sensor cluster in place
  3. Lift the sensor cluster out of the car
  4. Clean the sensor cluster and the surrounding area with a damp cloth
  5. Reinstall the sensor cluster by screwing it into place
