The ps3 error code 80029940 is a error code that happens when the system tries to access a file that is either corrupt or missing. This error code can happen for a number of reasons, such as if the user has deleted a file that is needed by the system, or if the system has been infected by a virus.

1. Try rebooting your PS3 and then re-downloading the content

  1. Turn off the PS3 completely by pressing the power button.
  2. Wait a few seconds until the PS3 restarts.
