How do I fix s7701-1003?

S7701-1003 is an error code that can occur when trying to connect to the Internet on a computer running the Windows operating system. This error can be caused by a number of factors, including a corrupt or outdated network driver, a firewall or antivirus program blocking the connection, or incorrect network settings.

1. Restart the computer

  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Remove the battery, if applicable.
  3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to turn off the computer.
  4. Disconnect the power cord.
  5. Reconnect the power cord.
  6. Remove the hard drive.
  7. Locate the Windows recovery environment (Windows RE) on a removable media.
  8. Insert the removable media into the computer.
  9. Change the boot order to boot from the removable media.
  10. Select the Windows RE option.
  11. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  12. Reinstall the operating system.

2. Update the BIOS

  1. Boot the computer from the installation media.
  2. If the computer is in the Normal Boot mode, press the ESC key to enter the BIOS Setup screen.
  3. In the BIOS Setup screen, use the arrow keys to select the Exit menu, and then use the Enter key to select OK.
  4. In the Exit menu, use the arrow keys to select Update BIOS, and then use the Enter key to select OK.
  5. In the Update BIOS screen, use the arrow keys to select the desired update file, and then use the Enter key to select OK.
  6. In the Update BIOS screen, use the arrow keys to select the desired update file, and then use the Enter key to select OK.

3. Update the driver

  1. In the Device Manager, click on the Computer icon.
  2. Right-click on the device that you would like to update and select Update Driver Software.
  3. Click on the Browse my computer for driver software button.
  4. Locate the folder where you extracted the s7701-1003 driver files and select the appropriate driver file.
  5. Click on the Next button.
  6. Select the appropriate installation type and click on the Next button.
  7. Review the information that is displayed on the Next screen and click on the Finish button.
  8. Restart your computer.

4. Replace the battery

Please remove the back panel of the device by gently prying it off with a small flat-head screwdriver. Inside you will see 4 screws holding the battery in place. Once the screws are removed, gently remove the battery. Note: The battery is held in with a clip, so it takes some force to remove it. Once the battery is removed, you will see a ribbon cable connected to the logic board. Disconnect the cable by gently pulling it out of the connector. Next, you will need to unscrew the 6 screws that hold the logic board in place. Once the screws are removed, gently remove the logic board from the device. Be carefull not to lose the ribbon cable that was connected to the logic board. Now you can replace the battery. Replace the battery by inserting it into the device the same way that it was removed. Replace the 6 screws and reattach the logic board. Finally, reattach the back panel of the device and screw it in place.

5. Replace the hard drive

  1. Remove the cover of the computer.
  2. Disconnect all cables from the computer.
  3. Remove the screws that hold the hard drive in place.
  4. Lift the hard drive out of the computer.
  5. Replace the hard drive with a new one.
  6. Replace the screws that hold the hard drive in place.
  7. Reconnect the cables to the computer.
  8. Replace the cover of the computer.
