How to fix the sign-in error code 50053?

The sign-in error code 50053 indicates that the user's account is currently locked. This can happen for a number of reasons, such as if the user has entered their password incorrectly too many times, or if the account has been locked by an administrator. When this error code occurs, the user will need to contact their administrator in order to have their account unlocked.

1. Check your internet connection and try again

  1. Type "chrome://settings/advanced"
  2. In the "Advanced" section, click "Network"
  3. In the "Network" window, click "Check internet connection."
  4. If the "Tooltip" says "There is a problem with your internet connection," click "Fix it."
  5. If the "Tooltip" says "Your internet is too slow," click "Improve your connection."
  6. If the "Tooltip" says "There is a problem with your Google account," click "Sign in to Google."
  7. If the "Tooltip" says "You don't have a Google account," click "Create a Google account."
  8. If the "Tooltip" says "You're already signed in," click "Sign out."
  9. If the "Tooltip" says "Could not sign in," try signing in again.

2. Try signing in with a different account

  1. Navigate to the sign-in page and sign in with your preferred account.
  2. If you are still experiencing an error code 50053, try signing in with a different account.
  3. If you are still experiencing an error code 50053, try restarting your device.

3. Check if the account you're trying to sign in with is a valid account

  1. Navigate to the sign-in page.
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. If you're not signed in, you'll see an error message.
  4. If you're still not signed in, try signing in with another account.
  5. If you're still not signed in, try resetting your password.

4. Try signing in from a different location

  1. Open a browser and sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Settings gear in the upper-right corner.
  3. Click the General tab.
  4. Under Account settings, click Sign in.
  5. Enter your email address and password.
  6. Click Sign in.
  7. If you are prompted to enter your location, do so.
  8. Click the Sign in button.
  9. If you are still having difficulty signing in, please contact Customer Service.

5. Check if the account you're trying to sign in with is locked

  1. Go to the sign-in page and enter your username and password. If you're not logged in, you'll see an error message.
  2. If you're not logged in, you'll see a sign-in screen that asks for your login information.
  3. If you're not logged in, you'll see a message that your account is locked and you need to sign in.
  4. If you're not logged in and you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, you'll see a message that your account is locked and you need to upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
  5. If you're not logged in and you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat, you'll see a message that your account is locked and you need to upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Acrobat.
  6. If you're not logged in and you have the latest version of Adobe Reader, you'll see a message that your account is locked and you need to upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader.
  7. If you're not logged in and you have the latest version of Firefox, you'll see a message that your account is locked and you need to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox.
  8. If you're not logged in and you have the latest version of Internet Explorer, you'll see a message that your account is locked and you need to upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer.
  9. If you're not logged in and you have the latest version of Safari, you'll see a message that your account is locked and you need to upgrade to the latest version of Safari.
  10. If you're not logged in and you have the latest version of Chrome, you'll see a message that your account is locked and you need to upgrade to the latest version of Chrome.

6. Try signing in with a different browser

  1. Open Google Chrome and sign in.
  2. Click on the three lines in the top right corner of the browser window, and select "Settings."
  3. Scroll down to "Show advanced settings."
  4. Under "Privacy," click on "Sign in options."
  5. Select "Sign in using a different browser."
  6. Click on "Sign in."
  7. Enter your Google account credentials and click on "Sign in."
  8. If prompted to do so, click on "Use a different browser."
  9. Click on "Cancel."
  10. Close Google Chrome.
