How do I fix error code 0x800700aa?

The 0x800700aa error code is a Windows error that happens when a file is not found. This can happen when a file is deleted or when a file is moved to a different location. This error can also happen when a program is trying to access a file that does not exist.

1. Try running the program as an administrator

  1. Open the "Run" dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key + R, type "cmd" and press Enter.
  2. In the "Command Prompt" window, type "cd C:\Windows\System32" and press Enter.
  3. Type "cmd.exe" and press Enter.
  4. Type "msconfig" and press Enter.
  5. In the "System Configuration" window, click on the "Security" tab.
  6. In the "Security Settings" window, click on the "Administrator rights" check box.
  7. Click on the "OK" button to confirm your changes.
  8. Close the "System Configuration" window.
  9. Type "cmd.exe" and press Enter.
  10. Type "cd %windir%\system32" and press Enter.
  11. Type "cmd.exe" and press Enter.
  12. Type "reg add " and press Enter.
  13. Type "net stop netlogon" and press Enter.
  14. Type "net start netlogon" and press Enter.
  15. Type "net session close" and press Enter.
  16. Type "net start msdsm" and press Enter.
  17. Type "net start CryptSvc" and press Enter.
  18. Type "net start Tcpip" and press Enter.
  19. Type "net start WcsPlugInService" and press Enter.
  20. Type "net stop WcsPlugInService" and press Enter.
  21. Type "net start WcsPlugInService" and press Enter.
  22. Type "net start WcsPlugInService" and press Enter.
  23. Type "net start WcsPlugInService" and press Enter.
  24. Type "net start WcsPlugInService" and press Enter.
  25. If prompted, type "yes" to restart the computer.

2. Check for updates for the program

  1. Open the Start Menu and type "update".
  2. Click on the "Windows Update" icon that appears in the search results.
  3. On the "Windows Update" page, click on the "See all updates" link in the bottom left corner.
  4. In the "See all updates" list, click on the "Update for Windows" link.
  5. On the "Update for Windows" page, click on the "Download" link next to the "Windows 10" update.
  6. On the "Microsoft Windows 10 Update Assistant" window that opens, click on the "I accept the terms of the agreement" button.
  7. Click on the "Install" button.
  8. When the "Update for Windows" installation starts, click on the "Agree" button to accept the License Agreement.
  9. Click on the "Next" button.
  10. On the "Update for Windows" installation window that opens, click on the "Activate" button to start the installation.
  11. When the "Update for Windows" installation is finished, click on the "Finish" button.
  12. Click on the "Close" button in the "Microsoft Windows 10 Update Assistant" window.
  13. Restart your computer.
