How do you fix an error code 38 message not sent?

There can be several reasons why the error code 38 message not sent error occurs. One reason could be that the text message service is not working properly. Another reason could be that the phone number that you are trying to send the message to is not a valid number.

1. Try again later

  1. Verify that the error code 38 message is actually being sent to the target device.
  2. Verify that the connection to the target device is stable.
  3. Verify that the target device is connected to the network.
  4. Verify that the target device has the latest software version.
  5. Verify that the target device is properly configured for communication with the server.
  6. Verify that the server is properly configured for communication with the target device.

2. Check the recipient's phone number

  1. Open the Messages app on the recipient's phone.
  2. Click the "Messages" tab.
  3. On the "Inboxes" tab, click the "From" field.
  4. Type the recipient's phone number.
  5. If the phone number is correct, the error code 38 message should appear in the "Status" field. If the phone number is not correct, the error code 38 message should not appear in the "Status" field and the recipient's phone number should be highlighted in red.
  6. Use the "Delete" button to delete the incorrect number from the "From" field.
  7. Use the "Copy" button to copy the correct number into the "From" field.
  8. Click the "Send" button.
  9. If the error code 38 message is not received, check the "Data" and "Cable" connections on the recipient's phone.

3. Check the message for errors

  1. Verify that the network is properly connected.
  2. Verify that the network is properly configured.
  3. Verify that the sender and receiver devices are properly connected.
  4. Verify that the message is properly formatted.
  5. Verify that the correct recipient device is specified.
  6. Verify that the message content is correct.
  7. Verify that the message is properly delivered.
