How do you fix Samsung dishwasher error code 9E?

The Samsung dishwasher 9E error code indicates a water inlet problem. The dishwasher is not able to fill with water properly. This can be caused by a clogged water inlet screen, a closed water supply valve, or a faulty water inlet valve.

1. Check the installation of the dishwasher

  1. Unplug the dishwasher.
  2. Open the dishwasher door.
  3. Check the water pressure. If it is low, the dishwasher may not be installed correctly.
  4. Verify that the dishwasher is properly connected to the electrical outlet.
  5. Verify that the water supply line is properly disconnected from the dishwasher.
  6. Check the dishwasher filters. If they are dirty or clogged, the dishwasher may not be installed correctly.
  7. Verify that the dishwasher door is properly closed.
  8. Verify that the dishwasher motor is properly installed and connected to the dishwasher pump.
  9. Verify that the dishwasher water supply line is properly installed.
  10. Verify that the dishwasher drain line is properly installed.
  11. Verify that the dishwasher door is properly closed.
  12. Verify that the dishwasher is on.
  13. Verify that the dishwasher is properly connected to the electrical outlet.
  14. Verify that the water supply line is properly connected to the dishwasher.
  15. Verify that the dishwasher filters are properly installed and the dishwasher is properly connected to the water supply.
  16. Verify that the dishwasher water supply line is properly installed.
  17. Verify that the dishwasher drain line is properly installed.
  18. Verify that the dishwasher is on.
  19. Verify that the dishwasher is properly connected to the electrical outlet.
  20. Verify that the dishwasher is properly connected to the water supply.
  21. Check the dishwasher lights. If they are off or not working, the dishwasher may not be installed correctly.
  22. Verify that the dishwasher door is properly closed.
  23. If the dishwasher is still not working, contact a technician.

2. Check the water supply

  1. Shut off the water supply to the dishwasher.
  2. Open the dishwasher door.
  3. Locate the water inlet valve.
  4. Remove the black cap.
  5. Inspect the water inlet valve for wear or damage. If there is wear or damage, replace the water inlet valve.
  6. Close the dishwasher door.
  7. Turn on the water supply to the dishwasher.
  8. Verify that the dishwasher is operating.
  9. Replace the water inlet valve if it is damaged or if the dishwasher is not operating.

3. Check the drain hose

  1. Open the refrigerator door and look for the drain hose. If it is kinked, twisted, or frozen, you will need to unkink or thaw it.
  2. If the drain hose is kinked, twisted, or frozen, use a plunger to push water through the hose and unkink or thaw it.
  3. If the drain hose is not kinked, twisted, or frozen, then you can proceed to the next step.
  4. Use a flashlight to look inside the drain hose to see if there is any debris or objects blocking the flow of water. If there is, use a plunger to push water through the hose and clean the obstruction.
  5. If the drain hose is not blocked, then you can proceed to the next step.
  6. Check the water level in the refrigerator and make sure it is at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) below the drain hose.
  7. Open the water valve on the side of the refrigerator and turn on the water.
  8. Wait a few minutes for the water to flow through the drain hose and into the garbage disposal.
  9. If the error code does not go away after the water flow through the drain hose, then you will need to take the refrigerator to a service technician.

4. Check the power supply

  1. Verify that the power cord is plugged into an outlet and into the back of the TV.
  2. Press the power button to turn on the TV.
  3. If the TV powers on, check that the power indicator is on.
  4. If the power indicator is not on, check that the power cord is plugged into the TV and into an outlet.
  5. If the power cord is plugged in, check that the TV is turned on.
  6. If the TV is turned on, check that the input selection is set to the correct input.
  7. If the TV is set to the correct input and the power cord is plugged in, check that the TV is connected to the wall outlet.
  8. If the TV is connected to the wall outlet, check that the TV is turned on and the power indicator is on.
  9. If the TV is turned on and the power indicator is on, check that the TV is connected to the Internet.
  10. If the TV is connected to the Internet, check that the TV is turned on and the power indicator is on.
  11. If the TV is turned on and the power indicator is on, check that the TV is connected to the TV service provider.

5. Check the control panel

  1. To open the control panel, on a Samsung diswhasher 9E, press and hold the “Power” button for at least three seconds.
  2. release the “Power” button and release the “Menu” button.
  3. Use the arrow keys to select “Settings” and press the “Enter” key.
  4. Use the arrow keys to select “System” and press the “Enter” key.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select “Control Panel” and press the “Enter” key.
  6. Use the arrow keys to select “Device Manager” and press the “Enter” key.
  7. Use the “+” and “-” keys to expand the “Device Manager” tree and select the “Samsung Diswhasher 9E” device.
  8. Use the “Right-click” menu to select “Properties”.
  9. Use the “Left-click” menu to select “Driver”.
  10. Use the “+” and “-” keys to select the “Update Driver” option and press the “Enter” key.
  11. Use the “Browse” button to select the appropriate driver file and press the “Enter” key.
  12. Use the “OK” button to confirm the driver installation and close the “Device Manager” window.
  13. Press the “Power” button to restart the Samsung diswhasher 9E.
