How to fix BDO error code 1?

1. Restart your computer

  1. Go to Start and type "cmd" in the search bar.
  2. Right-click on the cmd prompt and select "Run as Administrator."
  3. Type "restart" and press Enter.
  4. Your computer will restart and after it finishes restarting, you will be prompted to choose whether to restart into windows or to start up in safe mode.
  5. If you want to restart into windows, choose "Restart into Windows."
  6. If you want to restart your computer in safe mode, choose "Restart in Safe Mode with Networking."
  7. After your computer restarts, you will be prompted to log on. If you are not already logged on, you will be prompted to log on to your computer.
  8. After you log on, you will be presented with the bdo error code 1 screen. If you are able to fix the error code, choose "Yes" and continue. If not, choose "No" and continue to the next step.
  9. Choose "Restart."
  10. After your computer restarts, you will be presented with the bdo error code 1 screen again. If you are able to fix the error code, choose "Yes" and continue. If not, choose "No" and continue to the next step.

2. Check your internet connection

-To check your internet connection, open a web browser and type in "http://www.speedtest.net" -On the page that opens, click on the "Test" button and wait for the results to come back. -If the speed is below the threshold that you are comfortable with, then you will need to take action to improve your connection.

3. Try again later

In order to try again later, first close all open applications and windows. Next, restart your computer. Finally, open BDO and try your transaction again.

4. Clear your browser's cache and cookies

  1. Open your browser and navigate to the "Tools" menu.
  2. Click on "Internet Options."
  3. Under the "General" tab, click on "Advanced."
  4. Under the "Privacy" tab, click on "Clear Cookies."
  5. Click on "Clear Cache."
  6. Click on "OK."

5. Disable any browser extensions or add-ons that might be interfering

  1. In Firefox, type about:addons in the address bar and click on the Add-ons bar.
  2. Select the Extensions tab.
  3. Select the extension or add-on that you want to disable and click the Disable button.

6. Update your browser to the latest version

  1. Open your browser and navigate to the Google Chrome web store.
  2. On the top right corner of the browser, click on the three lines in a triangle to open the menu.
  3. Under "Tools", click on "Update Chrome".
  4. At the bottom of the "Update Chrome" window, click on "Check for updates".
  5. If there is an update available, Chrome will start downloading it and then will display a message asking you to restart the browser. Click on "Restart now" to apply the update.
  6. Chrome will now restart and you will be prompted to login again. Once you have logged in, Chrome will have updated to the latest version.
