- Open Device Manager by clicking on the Start button, clicking on Control Panel and then clicking on Device Manager.
- Right-click on the device that you are having error code 0x7e with and select Update Driver.
- Browse to the location of the driver file that you downloaded previously and select it.
- Click on the Next button and wait for the driver to be installed.
- Click on the Finish button to complete the process.
