1. Restart your computer and try again

3. Run a virus scan

  1. Open the "Command Prompt" as administrator.
  2. Type "scanstate" to display the current scan state.
  3. Type "scan" to start the virus scan.
  4. If the scan results show an error code, type "fixme" and provide the error code and solution.
  5. If the scan results do not show an error code, type "exit" to exit the "Command Prompt" and continue to the next step.

4. Check for Windows updates

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Click on the System and Security icon.
  3. Click on the Windows Update icon.
  4. If there are any updates available, they will be listed in the window that opens.

  7. Type "bcdedit /deletevalue {default} bootstatuspolicy" and press the Enter key.
  8. Type "bcdedit /set {default} bootstatuspolicy ignoreallfailures" and press the Enter key.
  9. Type "bcdedit /deletevalue {default} bootstatuspolicy" and press the Enter key.
  10. Type "net start c:\windows\system32\winlogon" and press the Enter key.
  11. Type "net start wuauserv" and press the Enter key.
  12. Type "net start adsp" and press the Enter key.
  13. Type "net start msiserver" and press the Enter key.
  14. Type "net stop c:\windows\system32\winlogon" and press the Enter key.
  15. Type "net stop wuauserv" and press the Enter key.
  16. Type "net stop adsp" and press the Enter key.
  17. Type "net stop msiserver" and press the Enter key.
  18. Reboot your computer.
