How to fix error code 530 on Ancestry?

Error code 530 on ancestry typically indicates that there is a problem with the user's login credentials. This could mean that the user's password is incorrect, or that the user does not have a subscription to Ancestry. If the user does not have a subscription, they will not be able to access any of the site's features.

1. Check the Ancestry website for updates

  1. Go to ancestry.com
  2. On the homepage, click on the "My Account" link in the top right corner
  3. On the My Account page, click on the "Update Your Details" link in the top right corner
  4. On the Update Your Details page, enter your login credentials and click on the "Update" button
  5. On the Update Your Details page, you will see a "Code" field. Enter the error code 530 into the "Code" field and click on the "Update" button
  6. You will now be taken to the "Update Your Details" page for that account. Click on the "Change Password" link in the top right corner
  7. On the "Change Password" page, enter your current password into the "New Password" field and click on the "Change Password" button
  8. You will now be taken to the "Confirm New Password" page. Enter your new password into the "New Password" field and click on the "Confirm New Password" button
  9. You will now be taken to the "Login" page. Enter your login credentials and click on the "Login" button
  10. You will now be taken to the "My Account" page. Click on the "My Account" link in the top right corner
  11. On the My Account page, under the "My Family Tree" heading, click on the "My Updates" link
  12. On the My Updates page, you will see a "Code" field. Enter the error code 530 into the "Code" field and click on the "Update" button
  13. You will now be taken to the "My Updates" page for that account. Click on the "View My Genealogy" link in the top right corner
  14. On the "View My Genealogy" page, you will see a list of your family members and their ancestry information. If there are any errors with your family tree, you will see them listed on the "Errors" tab. Click on the "Errors" tab and fix any problems that you find.
  15. Click on the "Update My Details" button to finalize your updates and return to the "My Account" page.
  16. Click on the "Login" button to log in to your account and finish your updates.
