How to fix the Tinder SMS error?

1. Check your internet connection

  1. On your computer, open your internet browser.
  2. In the address bar, type "tinder.com" and press Enter.
  3. On the main page of Tinder, click "Settings."
  4. In the "General" section, under the "Connection" header, click "Test Connection."
  5. If the "Test Connection" button says "We're sorry, but your internet connection is not working" or something similar, there is probably something wrong with your internet connection. Try restarting your computer, changing your internet provider, or using a different browser.
  6. If the "Test Connection" button says "Your connection is good," there may be a problem with your Tinder account. To fix it, click "Fix Account."

2. Check the Tinder app's settings

  1. Open the "Tinder" app on your device.
  2. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen.
  3. On the "Settings" page, locate and tap on "SMS."
  4. On the "SMS" page, make sure that the "Text Message Delivery" option is set to "On."
  5. If the "Text Message Delivery" option is not set to "On," tap on it and then make sure that the "Send text messages when available" option is set to "Yes."
  6. Tap on the "Save" button at the bottom of the "Settings" page.

3. Delete and reinstall the Tinder app

  1. Launch the Tinder app on your device.
  2. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the app.
  3. Select "Settings" from the list of options that appears.
  4. Under "General," tap on "apps" and then on "Tinder."
  5. Tap on "Delete App" from the menu that appears.
  6. Tap on "Yes" to confirm your decision.
  7. Wait for the app to be deleted from your device.
  8. Launch the app again and sign in.
  9. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the app.
  10. Select "Settings" from the list of options that appears.
  11. Under "General," tap on "apps" and then on "Tinder."
  12. Tap on "Reinstall App" from the menu that appears.
  13. Tap on "Yes" to confirm your decision.
  14. Wait for the app to be reinstalled on your device.
  15. Launch the app and sign in.
  16. If the problem has not been fixed, try reinstalling the app from the App Store or Google Play.

4. Contact Tinder's customer support

  1. Open Tinder and sign in.
  2. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Under "Settings," tap on "Help."
  4. Under "Help Topics," tap on "Contact Us."
  5. In the "Contact Us" form, enter your issue and tap on "Send."
  6. Tinder will send you an email with instructions on how to fix your issue.
