Currently this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) How do I fix it?

This error code happens when the hardware device is not connected to the computer. This can be due to a number of reasons, including a loose connection, a bad connection, or a problem with the device itself. If the hardware device is not properly connected to the computer, it will not be able to communicate with the computer and will not be able to function properly.

1. Restart the computer and try again

  1. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to restart the computer.

  3. If the hardware device is not connected to the computer, try to connect the hardware device to another computer using the provided cables.
  4. If the hardware device is still not connected to the computer, try to connect the hardware device to an electrical outlet using the provided cables.
  5. If the hardware device is still not connected to the computer, try to connect the hardware device to the computer using a USB cable.

2. Check the connection of the device and make sure it is secure

  1. Expand Network Adapters
  2. Right-click the Ethernet adapter and select Properties
  3. On the General tab, make sure that the Status is set to Connected and the Local Area Connection Type is set to Ethernet.
  4. Click OK to close the Properties window.
  5. If the Status is not set to Connected, right-click the Ethernet adapter and select Properties
  6. On the General tab, click the Status button and then change the Status to Connected.
  7. If the Local Area Connection Type is not set to Ethernet, click the Local Area Connection Type button and then change the Connection Type to Ethernet.
  8. Click OK to close the Properties window.

3. Unplug the device and plug it back in

  1. Remove the battery.
  2. Disconnect the power cable.
  3. Reconnect the power cable.
  4. Turn on the device.
  5. If the device does not work, try to reset it.

4. Update the driver for the device

To update the driver for the device, follow these steps: -Open the Device Manager -Locate the hardware device that is not connected to the computer and right-click on it -Select Update Driver from the menu that is displayed -Follow the on-screen instructions to install the new driver

5. Delete the device and reinstall it

6. Run the Windows Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

  1. Open the Windows Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.
  2. Select the hardware device that you are trying to fix.
  3. Click on the "Troubleshoot" button.
  4. Select the "Connect" option.
  5. If the hardware device is not connected to the computer, the Troubleshooter will try to find the device and will display the following message. If the device cannot be found, the Troubleshooter will offer to install the drivers for the device.
  6. Click on the "Next" button.
  7. Select the "Repair" option.
