4. Replace the satellite receiver

  1. Open the Directv receiver
  2. Locate the dish antenna
  3. Disconnect the dish antenna from the Directv receiver
  4. Remove the four screws that hold the dish antenna bracket to the Directv receiver
  5. Lift the dish antenna off of the Directv receiver
  6. Place the new dish antenna bracket on the Directv receiver and screw it in place
  7. Reinstall the four screws that hold the dish antenna bracket to the Directv receiver
  8. Connect the dish antenna to the Directv receiver
  9. Turn on the Directv receiver
  10. Check for directv playback error code 2 and correct any problems
