How can I fix EA error code 524?

The EA error code 524 is a problem with the game data. This can be caused by a number of things, including a corrupt game file, a problem with the game's installation, or a problem with the game's registry. This error code can also be caused by a virus or malware infection.

1. Restart your computer and Origin

  1. In the Windows menu, select "Start" and then "Settings."
  2. In the Settings window, select "PC Settings."
  3. In the PC Settings window, select "Restart."
  4. Select "Restart now."
  5. Select "Yes."
  6. Your computer will restart and Origin will launch.

2. Update your drivers

  1. Under Hardware, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers
  2. Right-click on your audio or video controller and select Update Driver
  3. Browse to the location of the driver file and select it
  4. Click on the Next button
  5. Select the appropriate driver for your operating system
  6. Click on the Finish button
  7. Restart your computer

3. Verify your game files

  1. Access your EA account and go to My Games and Apps.
  2. Locate the game you are having issues with and open it.
  3. On the main menu, select "Settings."
  4. Select "General."
  5. Select "Local Files."
  6. Locate the file that is causing the issue and delete it.
  7. Restart your computer.
  8. If the issue still occurs, try downloading the latest game update.

4. Delete your Origin cache files

  1. Go to Origin's “Settings” menu and click on the “Cache” tab.
  2. On the “Cache” tab, scroll down to the “Origin” section and click on the “Delete Cache Files” button.
  3. Origin will ask you to confirm the deletion. Click on the “Yes” button.
  4. Origin will now delete all of your cache files. Click on the “Exit” button to finish.

5. Reinstall Origin

  1. Access Origin through your web browser.
  2. Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner of the Origin window.
  3. Select the Help menu.
  4. Select the About Origin option.
  5. Click on the Reinstall button.
  6. Select the Origin version you would like to install.
  7. Click on the Install button.
  8. Origin will start the installation process.
  9. When the installation is complete, click on the OK button.
  10. Restart Origin if prompted to do so.

6. Contact EA support

  1. From the main menu, select "Help & Support".
  2. Under "Contact EA", select "Submit a Request".
  3. Under "Subject", type "Error Code: 524".
  4. Under "Description", provide as much detail as possible about the issue.
  5. Click "Submit Request".
  6. EA will respond to your request within 72 business hours.
