2. Check your internet connection and try again

  1. Open the "Internet Options" app on your computer.

  6. In the "Primary DNS Server" text box, type the address of a DNS server that is on your network.
  7. In the "Secondary DNS Server" text box, type the address of a DNS server that is not on your network.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Close the "Internet Options" app.
  10. Open the "OneDrive" app.
  11. Under the "File Explorer" heading, click the "OneDrive" tab.
  12. Under the "Settings" heading, click the "Advanced" tab.
  13. In the "OneDrive TCP/IP Settings" section, make sure that the "Use the following DNS server addresses" box is checked.
  14. In the "Primary DNS Server" text box, type the address of a DNS server that is on your network.
  15. In the "Secondary DNS Server" text box, type the address of a DNS server that is not on your network.
  16. Click OK.
  17. Close the "OneDrive" app.
  18. Open the "Error 1007" message.
  19. Under the "Additional Information" heading, click the "Internet Connection" link.
  20. Under the "Details" heading, make sure that the "Use the following DNS server addresses" box is checked.
  21. In the "Primary DNS Server" text box, type the address of a DNS server that is on your network.
  22. In the "Secondary DNS Server" text box, type the address of a DNS server that is not on your network.
  23. Click OK.
  24. Close the "Error 1007" message.
  25. Try to open the "OneDrive" app.

3. Try signing in with a different account

  1. Open OneDrive on your computer.
  2. Click the three lines in the top left corner of the window.
  3. Click Account.
  4. Select the account you want to use.
  5. Click Sign In.
  6. Enter your login information.
  7. If you're not signed in, sign in.
  8. If you're still having trouble, try one of these solutions:
  • Reset your password.
  • Try signing out and then signing in again.
  • Contact Microsoft support.

4. Update the OneDrive app

  1. Click on the App Store icon on the Home Screen of your device.
  2. Scroll down to the OneDrive app and click on it.
  3. On the app's main screen, click on the "Update" button.
  4. On the "Update" screen, click on the "Check for updates" button.
  5. If the OneDrive app needs to be updated, a notification will appear on your screen asking you to click on the "Update" button.
  6. Click on the "Update" button.
  7. Once the OneDrive app has been updated, a notification will appear on your screen stating that the update has been successful.

5. Uninstall and reinstall the OneDrive app

  1. Open the Windows 10 Start menu and click on the OneDrive app.
  2. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the app and select Settings.
  3. In the Settings window, click on the Uninstall button.
  4. In the Uninstall window, click on the Yes button.
  5. After the uninstall has been completed, open the Start menu and click on the OneDrive app again.
  6. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the app and select Settings.
  7. In the Settings window, click on the Reinstall button.
  8. In the Reinstall window, click on the Yes button.
  9. After the reinstall has been completed, open the Start menu and click on the OneDrive app again.
  10. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the app and select Settings.
  11. In the Settings window, click on the Sync button.
  12. In the Sync window, click on the Refresh button.
  13. If the error code 1007 has been fixed, the OneDrive app should now be syncing correctly.

6. Contact Microsoft support

  1. Go to the Microsoft website and type in "support.microsoft.com" into the search bar.
  2. Sign in to your Microsoft account.
  3. Click on the "Support" tab and select "request a support ticket" from the menu bar.
  4. Fill out the ticket form with your account information and the error code that you are experiencing.
  5. Click on the "submit" button and wait for a response.
