How to fix PS038?

? Ps038 is a heart rhythm abnormality that can cause chest pain, shortness of breath, or fainting.

1. Replace the PS038

  1. Remove the two screws holding the PS038 in place.
  2. Carefully remove the PS038 from its housing.
  3. Replace the PS038 with a new one.
  4. Reattach the screws holding the PS038 in place.

2. Replace the power supply

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the computer.
  2. Unscrew the panel on the back of the computer that gives you access to the inside.
  3. Find the power supply inside the computer and unplug all of the cables going into it.
  4. Carefully remove the power supply from the computer.
  5. Install the new power supply into the computer and plug all of the cables back in.
  6. Screw the panel back on and plug the power cord back in.
  7. Turn on the computer and check to see if the problem is fixed.

3. Replace the motherboard

  1. Turn off your PlayStation 3 console and disconnect it from the power source.
  2. Remove the hard drive from the console.
  3. Unscrew the four screws on the back of the PlayStation 3 that hold the top cover in place.
  4. Lift the top cover off of the console.
  5. Unscrew the two screws that hold the Blu-ray drive in place.
  6. Slide the Blu-ray drive out of the console.
  7. Unscrew the four screws that hold the metal plate in place.
  8. Remove the metal plate.
  9. Unscrew the four screws that hold the motherboard in place.
  10. Carefully lift the motherboard out of the console.
  11. Place the new motherboard into the console.
  12. Screw the four screws back into place.
  13. Replace the metal plate.
  14. Screw the two screws back into place.
  15. Slide the Blu-ray drive back into the console.
  16. Screw the four screws back into place.
  17. Replace the hard drive.
  18. Screw the four screws back into place on the top cover.
  19. Reconnect the power source and turn on the console.

4. Replace the processor

  1. Power down the computer and unplug all cables.
  2. Remove the computer case.
  3. Find the existing processor and note its orientation.
  4. Remove the existing processor from its socket.
  5. Insert the new processor into the socket, orienting it the same way as the old processor.
  6. Replace any cooling fans or heat sinks that were removed.
  7. Replace the computer case and reconnect all cables.
  8. Power on the computer and check for proper operation.

  4. Replace the optical drive.
  5. Replace the keyboard.
  6. Replace the mouse.
