How to fix American Standard Error code 126?

The American Standard Error Code 126 is a general error code that indicates a problem with the installation of a Windows program. This error code can be caused by a number of factors, including corrupt or missing files, incorrect registry entries, or a virus.

1. Download and install the latest version of the software

  1. Go to the American Standard website.
  2. Click on the “Downloads” tab and select the “Downloads for your Product” link.
  3. Select the appropriate product and click on the “Download” button.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
  5. Once the installation is complete, launch the software and click on the “Help” tab.
  6. Click on the “American Standard Error Code 126” link to open the help file.
  7. Follow the instructions in the help file to fix the error.

2. Download and install the latest version of the drivers

  1. Go to the American Standard website and click on the “Download Drivers” button.
  2. On the next screen, click on the “Select Your Vehicle” button and select your car model.
  3. On the next screen, select the “Drivers & Downloads” tab and click on the “Download” button.
  4. On the next screen, click on the “Select a Download Format” button and select the “Driver & Software” download format.
  5. On the next screen, click on the “Download” button.
  6. Once the download is complete, click on the “Extract” button to extract the driver files.
  7. Double-click on the “*.exe” files to install the drivers.
  8. If prompted, click on the “Yes” button to install the drivers.

3. Update the software

  1. Navigate to the American Standard website and click on the “Downloads” tab.
  2. On the downloads page, click on the “Update” link next to American Standard Error Code 126.
  3. Click on the “Update” button to start the update process.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
  5. Once the update is complete, click on the “Finish” button to complete the process.

4. Update the drivers

  1. Expand System Devices
  2. Right-click on the American Standard SCSI Host Bus Adapter and select Update Driver
  3. In the Update Driver dialog box, select the location of the driver file and click Open
  4. Click Yes to continue.
  5. Wait until the update is complete and then reboot your computer.
