How to Fix Error Code: 999?

Error code 999 is a code that is typically seen when there is an issue with the server that is hosting the website. This can be caused by a variety of things, such as the server being down or overloaded, or there may be a problem with the code on the website itself. In some cases, it may also be caused by a DNS error.

1. Restart your computer

  1. Press the "Windows" key + "R" key to open the "Run" window.
  2. Type "cmd" and press Enter.
  3. In the "Command Prompt" window, type "restart" and press Enter.
  4. When your computer restarts, it will display a message stating that "Your computer restarted to fix an error."
  5. If you have problems after your computer restart, try to restart it again using the "Windows" key + "R" key.

2. Try a different browser

  1. Close all open browsers
  2. Open a new browser window
  3. Type "firefox" in the address bar
  4. Type "about:config" in the address bar
  5. Right-click on the network.http.max-persistent-connections setting and select "Modify".
  6. Set the value to "2"
  7. Close the about:config window
  8. Open a new browser window
  9. Type "internet explorer" in the address bar
  10. Type "about:config" in the address bar
  11. Right-click on the network.http.max-persistent-connections setting and select "Modify".
  12. Set the value to "3"
  13. Close the about:config window
  14. Open a new browser window
  15. Type "chrome" in the address bar
  16. Type "about:config" in the address bar
  17. Right-click on the network.http.max-persistent-connections setting and select "Modify".
  18. Set the value to "4"

3. Check your internet connection

  1. Open your internet browser and type in "about:networking".
  2. This will display all of your network configuration information.
  3. If you are experiencing an error code like 999, it is likely that your internet connection is not working properly.
  4. To troubleshoot your internet connection, you will need to check the following:
  • Is your modem connected to the correct network?
  • Are your cables plugged in properly?
  • Are you using the correct internet service provider?
  • Are you using the correct router?
  • Are you using the correct computer?
  1. If you are still experiencing an error code like 999, you may need to call your internet service provider for assistance.

4. Clear your browser's cache and cookies

  1. In your browser, click the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options."
  2. Click on the "Advanced" tab and click on the "Cache" button.
  3. Clear the "Cookies" and "Cache" checkboxes.
  4. Click on the "OK" button.
  5. Close your browser.
