The F07 error code on a Maytag washing machine indicates that there is a problem with the washing machine's door lock. This error code can occur for a number of reasons, such as a problem with the door lock itself, a problem with the washing machine's control board, or a problem with the washing machine's wiring. If the F07 error code is displayed, the washing machine will not be able to start a wash cycle.

1. Check the door seal and make sure it is clean and free of debris

To check the door seal, first make sure the door is closed and the seal is properly seated. If the door is not properly closed, the seal may not be seated properly and debris may be trapped in between the seal and the door. To clean the seal, use a vacuum cleaner with a crevice tool attachment or a brush. Be sure to clean behind and around the seal. If debris is still trapped in the seal, a custom sealant may be necessary.

2. Check the gasket and make sure it is seated properly

The first step is to check the gasket. To do this, remove the front panel of the fridge and look for the gasket. If it is not seated properly, you will need to replace it.

3. Clean the door seal and gasket with a mild detergent

  1. Open the dishwasher door.
  2. Remove any food or dirty dishes from the dishwasher.
  3. Add a small amount of mild detergent to a dishwashing sponge.
  4. Wet the dishwashing sponge and clean the door seal and gasket.
  5. Wipe away any detergent residue with the sponge.
  6. Close the dishwasher door and run the dishwasher.

4. Replace the door seal and gasket

  1. Turn off the power to the machine by unplugging the power cord from the wall.
  2. Remove the side panels by prying them off with a screwdriver.
  3. Remove the screws that hold the door panel in place.
  4. Carefully pull the door panel off of the machine.
  5. Remove the old door seal and gasket.
  6. Install the new door seal and gasket.
  7. Reinstall the side panels.
  8. Connect the power cord to the machine and plug it in.

5. Check the door latch and make sure it is engaging properly

  1. Check the door latch to make sure it is engaging properly.
  2. If the latch is not engaging properly, fix the issue by adjusting the latch.

Still not working? maybe try one of these options:

  1. Adjust the door latch.
  2. Check the door switch and make sure it is functioning properly.
  3. Replace the door switch.
  4. Run a test cycle to make sure the issue is resolved.
