Spotify error code 6

Spotify error code 6 is an error that usually occurs when you try to use the Spotify application. When the error occurs, the application usually crashes and shuts itself down after a few seconds. Solution 1. Reinstall Spotify in Windows

“Spotify error code 6” may be caused by corrupt files. If this error occurs the only solution for this is to uninstall and install the application again. However, reinstalling the Spotify is not that easy because Spotify leaves temporary files, caches, and remnants files. Due to this, it will result in a new error which is “Spotify error code 18,” that can be fix using the link here.

Solution 2. Reinstall Spotify in Mac

“Spotify error code 6” may be caused by corrupt files. If this error occurs in Mac the only solution is also the same with Windows. You need to reinstall the Spotify. See steps below on how to.

  1. Open Spotify in the menu bar then clicks “Leave Spotify”.
  2. Open Finder then click Go and Library.
    Open Caches.
  3. Delete all files related to Spotify
  4. Then, open Application Support
  5. Delete all files related to Spotify
  6. Restart Mac.
  7. Download a new installer
  8. Install Spotify.
