How to Fix Windows Store Error Code 0x80070057?

The 0x80070057 error code is a Windows Store error that can occur when trying to install or update an app. There are a few different reasons why this error might occur, including problems with the Windows Store itself, or with the app you're trying to install. In some cases, it might be caused by a temporary issue that can be fixed by restarting your computer or the Windows Store app. If the problem persists, you can try resetting the Windows Store cache, or reinstalling the app.

1. Restart your computer and try again

  1. Start up your computer and log in.
  2. Click on the "Start" button and enter "cmd" in the search bar.
  3. Once you have located the "cmd" program, type in "restart" and press "enter."
  4. Log in to your account again once the computer restarts.
  5. If you are still experiencing the windows store error code 0x80070057, try reinstalling the windows store.

2. Check for updates and install any that are available

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Click on the System and Security icon.
  3. Click on the Windows Update icon.
  4. If needed, click on the View Available Updates link.
  5. Get the latest updates for your computer.
  6. If any updates are available, click on the Install button to install them.
  7. Reboot your computer if prompted to do so.

3. Run the Windows Store apps troubleshooter and see if it can identify and fix the problem

  1. Open the Windows Store app on your PC.
  2. On the app's main screen, click the gear icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Click Troubleshoot.
  4. On the Troubleshoot page, click Run the troubleshooter.
  5. On the Run the troubleshooter page, click Next.
  6. On the Select problem to troubleshoot page, click Windows Store apps.
  7. On the Windows Store apps page, click the problem that you're trying to fix.
  8. On the Summary page, click Next.
  9. On the Fix it page, click Next.
  10. On the Confirmation page, click Finish.

4. Reset the Windows Store cache

  1. Open the "Windows Store" app.
  2. Select the "Settings" button on the main menu.
  3. Select the "Cache" tab.
  4. Click on the "Reset cache" button.
  5. Confirm the reset by clicking on the "OK" button.

5. Re-register the Windows Store

  1. Open "Windows Store" app on your Windows 10 PC.
  2. Click on "Settings" in the app.
  3. Under "Windows Store" section, click on "Advanced options".
  4. On the "Advanced options" page, click on "Re-register".
  5. Enter your Microsoft account email address and password.
  6. Click on "Sign in".
  7. If you are not already registered with Microsoft, you will be asked to create an account.
  8. After you have registered your account, click on "Done" in the "Re-register" section.
