Xbox 360 error code 23ef is an error that usually occurs when you try to download an update to your console and it fails.

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
  2. Navigate to **Settings ==>**System ==> Storage.
  3. Then in order press: LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
  4. Yes, to proceed the rollback.
  5. Xbox 360 should restart and do an update.

2. Clear the System Cache

  2. Navigate to Settings ==> System Settings.
  3. Select any of Memory and Storage.
  4. Highlight any of the storage, and press Y button on the controller.
  5. Clear System Cache and choose Yes to confirm.
  6. Power off the Xbox 360 and then unplug it from the power source at least three minutes.
  7. Do the system rollback of solution 1.
