Error code 009 on Roku indicates that the device is having trouble connecting to the internet. There are a few potential reasons for this:

  1. The Roku is not properly connected to the router. Check that the Roku is connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi to the correct network.

  2. The router is not properly configured. Check with your ISP or router manufacturer for instructions on how to properly configure your router.

  3. There may be an issue with the DNS settings on the Roku. Try changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

  4. The problem could also be caused by a firewall or security software on the router or network. Disable any firewall or security software on the router and try again.
