How do I fix the error code 102 on Chromecast?

Error code 102 is a chromecast error that can be caused by a number of things, including but not limited to:

-an incorrect or outdated chromecast firmware

-a problem with the wifi connection

-a problem with the chromecast device itself

This error code typically appears when trying to connect the chromecast to a wifi network or when trying to update the chromecast firmware. In most cases, simply restarting the chromecast device or router can fix the problem.

1. Restart your device

  1. If your device is not turned on, turn it off by pressing and holding the power button until it turns off.
  2. On your device, go to Settings.
  3. Under "General," tap "Restart."
  4. Tap "Restart again."
  5. If the phone restarts, you will be prompted to enter your pin. Tap " OK " to restart.
  6. If the phone does not restart, press and hold the power button until the phone turns off.
  7. On your device, go to Settings.
  8. Under "General," tap "Restart."
  9. Tap "Restart again."
  10. If the phone restarts, you will be prompted to enter your pin. Tap " OK " to restart.
  11. If the phone does not restart, press and hold the power button until the phone turns off.
  12. Hold the power button for about 10 seconds to force the device to turn on.
  13. If you are using a Android device, go to Settings.
  14. Under "General," tap "About phone."
  15. Tap "Restart."
  16. If the phone restarts, you will be prompted to enter your pin. Tap " OK " to restart.
  17. If the phone does not restart, press and hold the power button until the phone turns off.
  18. Remove the Chromecast device from the power outlet and plug it back in.
  19. Press the "cast" button on the Chromecast device to start casting.

2. Check your internet connection

  1. Open the Google Chrome browser on your computer.
  2. Click the three lines in the top left corner of the browser window.
  3. Click "Settings."
  4. Click "Advanced."
  5. Under "Network," click "Settings."
  6. Under "Network connection," click "Check."
  7. If the "Internet connection is not stable" error message appears, follow the instructions below to fix it.
  8. If the "Can't connect to the internet" error message appears, follow the instructions below to fix it.
  9. If the "Connection not supported" error message appears, follow the instructions below to fix it.
  10. If the "The network is unavailable" error message appears, follow the instructions below to fix it.

3. Update your device

  1. Open the Google Home app on your phone.
  2. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Under "General," tap "About Home."
  5. Tap "Software Update."
  6. If there's an update available, you'll see a message that says "Update your software to fix an issue." Tap "OK."
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to update your device.
  8. If the update doesn't fix the issue, you can try to fix the issue by following these steps: a. Restart your Google Home. b. Reset your device. c. Try a different Chromecast.

4. Check for updates for your apps

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your device
  2. Search for the app you're having trouble with and tap on its listing
  3. On the app's listing, tap on the three lines in the top right corner of the screen
  4. On the "Update info" screen, tap on the "Check for updates" button
  5. If the app has an update available, the "Update info" screen will tell you how to download and install it
  6. If the app doesn't have an update available, the "Update info" screen will tell you why the app isn't available for update and offer you the option to download one of the latest versions of the app from Google Play
  7. If you're having trouble downloading an update, you can try connecting your device to a Wi-Fi network or using a different browser on your device

5. Reset your device

-If you're using a computer, connect your device to your computer using the included USB cable. -Open the Google Chrome web browser and click on the "Chromecast" icon in the top right corner. -Select "Settings" from the menu on the left. -Click on "Reset device" under "Advanced settings". -Select "Reset device" again and click on "Next". -Select "Erase everything" and click on "Next". -Click on "Yes" to confirm and your device will reset.
