How do I fix Citrix error code 3500?

Citrix error code 3500 occurs when the Citrix server is unable to connect to the remote computer. This can happen for a number of reasons, such as the remote computer being turned off, the network being down, or the Citrix server being configured incorrectly. When this error occurs, users will typically see a message that says "Citrix error code 3500: Connection refused."

1. Restart the computer

Check if Citrix Receiver is installed on the computer. If Citrix Receiver is not installed on the computer, then you can download and install it from the Citrix website. 2. Uninstall and reinstall Citrix

  1. Launch the Citrix Control Panel.
  2. In the Citrix Control Panel, click Uninstall Citrix.
  3. In the Uninstall Citrix window, click Next.
  4. In the Citrix Uninstallation window, click Next.
  5. On the Select Citrix Components to Uninstall page, click Next.
  6. In the Citrix Components to Uninstall window, click the Citrix components you want to uninstall.
  7. In the Citrix Components to Uninstall window, click Next.
  8. On the Completion page, click Finish.
  9. Citrix will uninstalled the selected Citrix components and will close the Citrix Control Panel.
  10. Launch the Citrix Receiver.
  11. Verify that Citrix Receiver is installed and working.
  12. Launch the Citrix Store.
  13. Verify that the Citrix Store is installed and working.
  14. Verify that the Citrix Store is accessible.
  15. In the Citrix Store, click the Citrix product you want to reinstall.
  16. On the Product Information page, click Reinstall.
  17. In the Reinstall Citrix window, click Next.
  18. On the Select Components to Reinstall page, click Next.
  19. In the Select Components to Reinstall window, click the Citrix components you want to reinstall.
  20. In the Select Components to Reinstall window, click Next.
  21. On the Completion page, click Finish.
  22. Citrix will re-installed the selected Citrix components and will close the Citrix Store.

3. Delete the Citrix folder in the Registry

  1. Open the Windows Registry by typing regedit in the Start menu search box and pressing Enter.
  2. In the Registry, navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\ICA Client
  3. On the right side of the Registry window, delete the Citrix folder.
  4. Restart your computer to apply the changes.
