How to fix the error code 0x80072f76 - 0x20016?

Error code 0x80072f76 - 0x20016 is a Windows Update error code. This error code occurs when the Windows Update service is not running or is not working properly. This can happen if the Windows Update service is not started, is not set to start automatically, or if the service is disabled.

1. Check your internet connection and try again

  1. Open the Network and Sharing Center.
  2. Click on the "View network status and tasks" link.
  3. On the "Status" tab, under "Network Connections", you will see your current internet connection status.
  4. If you are connected to the internet, you will see a green check mark next to your connection.
  5. If you are not connected to the internet, you will see a yellow question mark next to your connection.

4. Reset the Windows Store app

Reset the Windows Store app:
