How to fix Google email error 007?

The "Google email error 007" is a relatively common error code that can occur when using the Gmail app on a mobile device. This error is usually caused by a temporary problem with the connection between the Gmail app and the Gmail servers. In most cases, this error can be resolved by simply restarting the Gmail app or the device itself.

1. Check your internet connection

  1. From your computer, open Chrome.
  2. In the top right corner of the browser, click the three lines in the blue bar.
  3. Click More Tools.
  4. In the "Internet Options" window, click the "Advanced" tab.
  5. In the "Connections" section, click the "Test Connection" button.
  6. If the "Test Connection" button says that your internet connection is good, your Google account may be blocked because of an error. To unblock your account, follow these steps: a. In the "Advanced" tab of the "Internet Options" window, click the "Connection" button. b. In the "Connection" window, click the "Properties" button. c. In the "Properties" window, under "Authentication" click the "Advanced" tab. d. In the "Authentication" window, under "Connection Settings" click the "Unblock" button.
  7. In the "Properties" window, under "Connection" click the "OK" button.

2. Check if you have the latest version of the Gmail app

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your phone and search for "Gmail"
  2. Once the Google Play Store opens, find the "Gmail" app and click on it.
  3. If the "Gmail" app is not installed on your phone, you will be prompted to install it. Click on the "Install" button and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Once the "Gmail" app is installed, open it and click on the "Settings" icon.
  5. On the "Settings" screen, scroll down and find the "Apps" section.
  6. Under the "Apps" section, find the "Gmail" app and click on it.
  7. On the "Gmail" app's "Settings" screen, scroll down and find the "Updates" section.
  8. Under the "Updates" section, find the "Google Email" app and click on it.
  9. On the "Google Email" app's "Settings" screen, scroll down and find the "Update" button.
  10. If the "Google Email" app is installed and up-to-date, you will see a "Update" button. Click on the "Update" button to download and install the latest version of the "Google Email" app.

3. Check if you have the latest version of the Google Play Services app

  1. Go to the Google Play Store on your device and open the app.
  2. On the main menu, click "Updates."
  3. If the Google Play Services app is up to date, it will show a "Update Now" button. If it's not up to date, it will show a "Update" button with a "Update Now" bar.
  4. Tap the "Update Now" button.
  5. If the "Update Now" button isn't visible, tap the "Update" button.
  6. The Google Play Services app will update and show a "Update Complete" message.

4. Clear the Gmail app's cache

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone and select Gmail.
  2. Under "General," select "Clear Cache."
  3. Confirm your choice by selecting "Clear Cache."
  4. Refresh your Gmail app.
  5. If the error still persists, try restarting your phone.

5. Force stop the Gmail app

From your iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Scroll down and tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Tap on the Gmail app
  4. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner
  5. Under "Settings," tap on "Force stop"
  6. Tap on "Force stop" again
  7. Exit out of the Settings app

6. Uninstall and reinstall the Gmail app

  1. Open Google Play Store on your phone
  2. Tap on the menu button on the top left corner of the screen
  3. Select "All Apps"
  4. Find and tap on Gmail app
  5. On the next screen, tap on the "Uninstall" button
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the app
  7. Once the app has been uninstalled, tap on the "Reinstall" button
  8. On the next screen, tap on the "Install" button
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the app
  10. Once the app has been installed, sign in to your Gmail account
  11. If the app did not automatically sign in for you, you will need to sign in by entering your username and password
  12. Once you have signed in, you will be taken to the main screen of the app
  13. You will now be able to access your Gmail inbox and messages
